OUR COMMUNITY
GAC & INDIAN TRAIL
We are a diverse church. We are diverse in beliefs, age, socio-economics, political viewpoints, and ethnicity. Our Church meets on the Campus of Greater Atlanta Christian School and we are thankful for more than 50 years of sharing spaces and partnering in ministry with GAC. The Community at GAC is generally affluent with access to a great education and resources. Our neighbor on the other side is the Indian Trail, Norcross community. This is a majority minority community with a median annual income of $35,037. There are 14 extended stay hotels in the Norcross area where 85% of residents report being house cost burdened (more than 35% of income going toward rent). This number is rising as housing costs continue to rise. We love our unique opportunity as a church to minister to the needs of both of these communities. We believe the people of these communities need each other to realize the mission of the Kingdom of God.
ABOUT CAMPUS CHURCH
At Campus Church, we want to help people live the adventure-filled good life in Jesus together every day through worship, training, and service. We think the good life is lived in a self-sacrificing community where people choose to be real and experience transformation. This transformation will result in us looking more and more like Christ. We are passionate about unleashing each person’s unique calling, and are dedicated to equipping our body to live into God’s specific vision and one-of-a-kind potential for them. We want to train disciples who live in Jesus, explore and celebrate giftedness, practice uncommon generosity, and tell our stories.
Located in Norcross, GA, Campus Church shares a property with Greater Atlanta Christian School. Our adult, children, and student ministry teams serve 50+ miles of individuals and families throughout the Atlanta area. We also partner with many local ministries, such as Neighborhood Cooperative Ministry (NCM) and Atlanta Inner-City Ministry (AIM).
Campus Church of Christ was planted over 50 years ago by several young families. Many of those families were part of starting Greater Atlanta Christian School. Campus has changed in many ways since it’s beginning, but has always been committed to the way of Jesus and him crucified. We are thankful for our heritage and the faithful followers who led us to where we are. We are excited about the future and for the ways we will partner with God to continue to bring his Kingdom to the greater Atlanta area and beyond!
ABOUT FAMILY MINISTRY
936 WEEKS
There are approximately 936 weeks from the time a child is born until that child grows up, graduates from high school, and moves on to whatever’s next. Each phase is a timeframe when parents and leaders can leverage distinctive opportunities to influence a kid’s future. Childhood isn’t meant to be rushed. If we’re always in a hurry to get to the next phase, we can miss what’s unique about the phase our kids are currently in. Our Campus Church Family Ministry team believes there’s something remarkable happening in whatever phase a family is in: baby, toddler, preschool, elementary school, middle school, or high school. We’re here to ensure families don’t miss it!
Our safe, fun, and exciting environments and resources are designed to help kids and students understand God’s love for them and the amazing plan He has for their lives. Through phase-specific lessons, activities, small groups, and service opportunities, we’re dedicated to partnering with parents in leading their kids towards Jesus.
The Ministry Map below outlines our strategy for influencing the next generation!
ABOUT CAMPUS STUDENTS
Campus Student Ministry exists to honor God and help students and families live the adventure-filled good life in Jesus together every day. Serving 6th through 12th grade, we strive to create a safe space that welcomes all students at every stage of faith development.
Because we value parents as the primary influence in their child's life, partnering with parents is foundational to our approach. It is our goal to provide parents with phase specific resources and training while helping them build a community with other parents. We deeply desire to be a church that helps parents be better parents.
While parents are primarily responsible for the spiritual well-being of their kids, we also believe that they need other invested leaders. Small Group Leaders pour into the lives of students by showing up consistently, creating a safe place to ask questions, leading by example, and mobilizing their students toward what's next.
Currently, our middle school and high school students meet on Sundays for games, large group teaching, and small group discussion. We also have various special events and gatherings for students and families throughout the year.
