PROJECT KIDS EAT

Project Kids Eat began 20 years ago as a result of a school social worker asking Campus Church for the leftover food from our annual Community Thanksgiving Meal.  She wanted to deliver the food to students that typically received breakfast and lunch at school, but on school holidays, often did not have food to eat.  We deliver food and other necessities to local extended stay hotels and 2  apartment complexes with the help of business partners and nearby churches.

Summer 2020 is over and we are so grateful for the support of 173 volunteers, area churches, Bambinelli’s Italian Restaurant, Little Caesar’s Pizza (Schoepf Family), Sage Dining Services at GAC, and Woodland Apartments for helping us serve 3,756 meal packs (consisting of a hot lunch and breakfast).

Please check back on this webpage in May 2021 to sign up to help deliver meals for Summer 2021

Give to Project Kids Eat

If you would like to help support Project Kids Eat either financially or by supplying needed items for the families, we could use your help!  We will be distributing toiletry kits to the families a few times throughout the summer.  A toiletry kit includes full sizes of the following: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste, deodorant, a bar of soap or body wash, and 4 toothbrushes.   We also need laundry pods and toilet paper.

Christmas Caravan 2020

Also, the Saturday before Christmas Project Kids Eat will have a caravan to go to extended stay hotels in our community to deliver a box of food, toys, toiletries, cleaning supplies and other needed items.  Please contact Julie Williams at julie@campuschurch.org for more information about donating to Project Kids Eat or helping.
